Riot In Oshodi breaks out, spreads to Maryland, Costain [PHOTOS]

 

A riot has broken out in the Oshodi area of Lagos State, according to reports.

Thugs armed with machetes, guns and other weapons were said to have besieged the area as early as 6am today, March 26.

The attackers were said to be wearing hoods while shooting sporadically and harassing residents.

The violence is also said to have spread into the Costain and Maryland areas of the state though these reports have not been confirmed.

The cause of the violence has not yet been determined but rumours have it that the chaos is being orchestrated by members of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC).
